SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
In the Mist is looking for poetry, prose, nonfiction, photography, and artwork that deals with women outside. It can be anything from a simple stroll to a daring trip through the Amazon. Scroll down for specific guidelines.

Please put your name and type of submission (poetry, fiction, or nonfiction) in the subject line. Please paste your submission into the body of the email.
Yes, we accept simultaneous submissions. We do not accept previously published work.
We accept electronic submissions year round.
Poetry:
We are seeking both traditional and nontraditional poetry about being outside that uses rich language. Please submit no more than 3-5 poems at a time.
Fiction:
We are seeking stories that pay close attention to storytelling as well as literary tools. We want stories that make us want to get up off the couch and go outside. Please submit one story per email.
Nonfiction:
We are seeking nonfiction of 2,000 words or less about women outside. Please submit one story per email.
Photography and Artwork:
Submit work as a jpeg to inthemistmag@aol.com. We are looking for pictures of the outdoors and/or women in it. |
